So I'm back from an awesome week and although they have requested tight lips to the actual events that happened - I wanted to share a glimpse of what a fellow Canadian intern said of his experiences directly from the PwC website (which I must say is fairly accurate to my own experiences):

"The Internship Development Program was the most fun, interactive and interesting learning experience that I have ever participated in. It was a great opportunity to meet fellow PwC interns, recruiters and partners. In the week that I attended, there were over 850 interns from offices across North America. The opportunities to network were endless. I had the pleasure of meeting and developing friendships with several of the Canadian participants.

We arrived in Orlando, Florida and were dropped off at the breathtaking Grand Floridian Resort at Disney World. This Victorian styled resort is the best Disney World has to offer. It was spectacular! After a huge buffet dinner, we listened to a very energetic motivational speaker, Keith Harrell.

The next two days we participated in the Disney Institute program. We were all randomly put into teams of eight people and competed in several challenges focused on honing our teamwork, leadership and communication skills. These included a scavenger hunt through Disney World's Magic Kingdom, culinary classes, topiary design, riding scooters, participating in radio/news broadcasts and much more. Teams were awarded points and the winning teams received great prizes like iPods and DVD players.

At night we got to see magnificent Disney shows at Epcot Centre and MGM studios. One night they kept the park open late solely for PwC interns to enjoy the rides. We even had a Canadian exclusive dinner at the famous Brown Derby restaurant where we got the chance to meet all the Canadian participants from offices across the nation.

The week wrapped up with keynote speakers Brian Biro and Jamie Clarke. On Thursday, we learned about breaking through with Brian Biro and everyone physically broke through a one-inch thick block of wood, karate style. Then it was off to a free day to enjoy one of the Disney theme parks. On our final day, fellow Canadian Jamie Clarke spoke of his travels to Mount Everest.

Overall, the Internship Development Program was spectacular. This program truly shows the commitment that PwC has to the development of new employees. I learned a lot about PwC as a global firm, created friendships with interns, recruiters and partners, learned teamwork and leadership skills which will last throughout my career and made memories to last a lifetime."

As told by summer associate Timothy Cox from our Windsor, ON office.

I'd have to say my favorite part was meeting with and listening to the motivational speakers -- if one of them can have enough impact to have eight hundred or so interns break through a board karate style that's impressive in my book. I had a great week, but this now means my interning days are over. I guess I have to uhh... start working? Nick, can I be a student forever? Let's discuss.
